Vacation Tips
The Moreno Valley is more than 8,000 feet in elevation, so take time to get acclimated to avoid high-altitude sickness Drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen! Winter temperatures are generally moderate, averaging mid-30s daytime to mid-teens in early morning. Summer temperatures average in the mid-70s during the daytime and low 40s at night. Delightfully low humidity makes air temperatures pleasant year-round. Fall is golden, brisk and dry. During summer and autumn seasons, a light jacket, sweater and perhaps an umbrella for occasional mountain showers are suggested. Area weather conditions are updated regularly on the Angel Fire Chamber web site: www.AngelFireChamber.org/climate.html; and the Angel Fire Resort web site: www.angelfireresort.com. Road condition reports are available from the New Mexico Department of transportation: 800-432-4269 or www.nmshtd.state.nm.us.
