HIKING, MOUNTAIN BIKING Trails abound throughout the area. Maps and descriptive guides are available at the Chamber of Commerce or on the Chamber web site, www.AngelFireChamber.org.
ATV TOURS Ride your own or rent ATVs and go for a guided tour in the Carson National Forest, or ride the Chile Express to the summit of Angel Fire mountain for a guided tour. Stop by the Chamber of Commerce for ATV trail maps.
OLYMPIC PARK Fishing, softball diamond, soccer field, tennis courts, basketball area, children's playground, miniature golf, barbecue grills, picnic tables and disc golf. In Angel Fire, off Mountain View Boulevard at the entrance to the Angel Fire Resort Country Club.
WHITEWATER RAFTING Thrilling trips through the Rio Grande Gorge. Soothing sunset floats, too.
HORSEBACK RIDING Guided tours in the mountains surrounding Angel Fire. Hourly, half-day and day trips are available with or without meals.
GOLF Enjoy one of the nation's highest 18-hole PGA rated courses – 8,600 feet above sea level, par 72, 6,600 yards. Challenging and scenic! Your ball is bound to go farther up here! Open May through mid-October. Club and cart rentals are available. A full-service pro shop is on site.
SCENIC CHAIRLIFT RIDES Angel Fire Resort's "Chile Express" high-speed quad is open during the summer and fall. Mountain bikes, hikers and sight-seers welcome! Bike or hike the mountain ski trails or relax at the Summit Haus.
CLIMBING WALL One of the many outdoor summertime attractions at Angel Fire Resort, the climbing wall offers exciting fun and challenges for both beginners and veterans.
JUMPY DRAGON Endless fun for the kids! Jump and play in the safety of an inflatable dragon.
MONTE VERDE LAKE Angel Fire's private lake with permits available for fishing, paddle and row boat rentals. Picnic tables and barbecue grills available. Open late April or early May through mid-October.
EAGLE NEST LAKE STATE PARK 2,200 surface acres, located 11 miles northeast of Angel Fire. Year-round fishing for trout and salmon. Boat rentals and fishing guides are available. Try Ice fishing in the winter as conditions allow.
CIMARRON CANYON Miles of excellent trout waters, plus premier catch and release areas. 15 miles northeast of Angel Fire. Camping, hiking and picnic areas.
